Photo Art Direction, Event/Activation Design & Art Direction, Concept Development. This stylish Ad Campaign turned IRL event was created for San Francisco Department of Environment, in collaboration with Farmuse and MostLikelyTo. Coinciding with the increase in California’s plastic bag tax, the goal was to get more San Franciscans to switch to reusables. The first step was an all city ad campaign with a focus on Outdoor and Transit ads as well as online that positioned reuse as something that is always in style. At first glance looking like a high fashion ad, they showed the true diversity of the city and how good of a look reuse really is.
The next step was to bring the photoshoot to the masses. We built a popup fashion photo studio that appeared at street fairs and farmers markets all across the city. In exchange for a commitment to reusables visitors got their photo taken in our amazing assortment of vintage clothes, and a reusable mug, bottle or tote bag.
